Ryan is a second-year Ph.D. student in the SALT Group. His research focuses on the surface interactions between molten salts and various solid nuclear materials. The wetting behavior of the salt on these surfaces gives key insight into the roles that irradiation and salt chemistry play in corrosion of MSRs and FHRs. In his free time, Ryan enjoys playing tennis, playing chess, and making yummy food.
